Eligibility Criteria :

All the K.G. level students are admitted on the basis of the first come, first serve for the numbers of seats available. For all the other classes in class one onwards students are required to appear for an entrance test. This test is held in the month of Feb./March every year for the admission in the following every academic year. It is not the sole criteria and does not guarantee admission. The school reserves the rights in the process of admission.

Documents required:

The documents mentioned below are required to be furnished at the time of admission in March of the following year.

  1. A Date of Birth certificate is main requirement for admission.
  2. A school leaving certificate. For admission in Std. VI onwards a school leaving certificate is required duly countersigned by the DEO/CBSE authorised signatory.
  3. A School Admission form duly filled in all the particulars with photographs of the parents, guardians and those permitted by the parents to visit the child and take his/her progress report and take him/her out of the school campus. If the parents desire that none other than those whose photographs are pasted on the admission form be permitted to meet their child then a special endorsement must be on the admission form by the parent/guardian and counter-signed by the principal should be submitted.
  4. A physical fitness certificate from a physician.
  5. A copy of the school Regulations read and signed by the parent.

School Term :

The school academic session commences in the first week of April and finishes in the first week of March in the following year. Besides the regular subjects pertaining to the CBSE syllabus which include English, Mathematics, Science, Hindi, Social science, Punjabi and computer eduation, Art and Craft, Music. Computer education is introduced at KG level. This enables the young students to become quick and easy with the concept. This allows for an easy transition with the concept of computer science. As per CBSE guidelines the school follows continuous comprehensive evaluation system (CCE) for assessment thereby training for maximum learning with least amount of difficulty. Apart from regular class tests, a student undergoes unit test examinations in every academic year.

Evaluation Procedure :

Kindergarten:

There is no examination system. Monthly evaluation is done on the basis of weekly tests. Best two tests along with other activities are calculated for a month’s result. Final result is evaluated on the basis of each month evaluation.

Primary:

One unit test for each month is evaluated for final. For final evaluation monthly test’s evaluation along with unit test of each subject will be carried out.

Middle and higher Classes:

Evaluation procedure is divided into two terms as per CBSE instructions. Each term carries two formative assessments and one summative exam. At the end of session both the terms are added for final results as per given below. Each academic year has been divided into two terms.

First Term :: FA1(10%)+FA2(10%)+SA1(30%)=50% Second Term :: FA3(10%)+FA4(10%)+SA2(30%)=50% FA= Formative Assessment: School based internal assessment. SA=Summative Assesment: Question papers and marking scheme supplied by the board and assesment carried out by the school. Overall perfomance of the candidate is based on the achievement in the scholastic Areas as well as co-scholastic Areas and co-scholastic Activities as follows:

  • Under Scholastic Areas Grades have been upgraded to the next higher grade in one or two subjedts as per the total Grade Points achieved under Co-Scholastic Area2(A),2(B) and Co-Scholastic Activities3(A),3(B)as given below: a. 53 to 65 : Grades in two subjects of Scholastic area are upgraded. b. 40 to 52 : Grade in one subjec of Scholastic area are upgraded. c. 39 and below : No upgradation of grades in subjects of scholastic area.
  • Upgradation has been done from lower grade to higher grade.
  • No grade in the subjects of scholastic area has been upgraded twice.
  • The upgrade has been shown with “**”.

Classed 10+1 and 10+2:

The examination pattern for class 10+1 and 10+2 will be spread over the whole year in two terms half yearly and final examination of 100 marks each. Subjects with practical will have one practical examinations time to time. Marks are allocated for internal assessment which will be added to unit tests and examinations. Half yearly and pre board will be taken for students before they appear for final examination.

No student will be allowed to miss any Examination/Test without prior consent of the class teacher. The Principal may permit it only for valid reasons. Parents will not be granted permission to take their ward home after exam/test is over. They shall go home only when the school gets over. The quality, accuracy, neatness, efficiency in the class assignments, class response, performance in oral and written tests, language skills, holiday home work, projects and attendance will be recorded to decide the marks for internal assessment, final result and promotion.
